The treatments I provide (primarily) take place online. Many people find this an intimidating idea at first. They worry that online therapy might not suit them well or that the therapy will be less effective as a result. In my experience, online therapy actually has many advantages while being just as effective. You don’t need to travel, and it’s easy to collaborate while we can build the same therapeutic relationship and perform the same interventions as during face-to-face treatment. However, some conditions must be met:
Treatment at Haver Psychotherapy is covered by the basic insurance from health insurers. For reimbursement, a referral from a general practitioner (or another medical specialist) is required. The referral preferably occurs via Zorgdomein, a system through which your GP can arrange and send the referral.A referral via email is also possible. The referral must at least include the following:
Because the treatment of some psychological issues requires specialist knowledge, or because a (medical) team is needed, I cannot accept people with the following complaints:
Haver Psychotherapy can also provide private (non-insurable) care, such as when no classification can be made that is covered by health insurers. This includes issues like relationship problems, work problems, or difficulties adjusting to situations like after a divorce. These complaints are not covered by basic insurance and must be paid by the client.
Each year, the Dutch Healthcare Authority (Nza) sets the rates we can charge as practitioners. The rates for 2024 are listed below. If your complaints match a DSM-5 classification (with some exceptions like adjustment disorder, specific phobia, and relationship problems), the treatment will be partially covered by the basic insurance. In 2024, I have no contracts with health insurers, meaning that reimbursement will be 100% only if you have a restitution policy. To know what your insurer covers, it’s best to contact them and ask what percentage of the Nza rate they reimburse. Additionally, you need a valid referral letter for reimbursement from the basic insurance. During an ongoing treatment, an invoice is sent once a month. The invoice is sent directly to you, and you submit it to the insurer. You eventually pay the amount to Haver Psychotherapy.
If you are unable to attend, your appointment must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance. If not canceled (on time), the reserved time will be charged.
At this moment, there is no waiting time (as of 1-5-2024). This means that there is room for a few new treatments.

The ‘National Quality Statute GGZ’ describes the quality standards that a healthcare provider must meet to organize care for the individual client in mental health care (GGZ). The focus is on the roles, tasks, and responsibilities of the diagnosing and coordinating lead practitioner and other caregivers in the different parts of the care process. The ‘National Quality Statute GGZ’ also formulates quality requirements in the areas of learning and improvement (source: Zorginstituut Nederland).
