About Me
My name is Samuel, and I have been working as a psychologist in mental health care since 2013, having worked in addiction care, forensic care, a private practice, and day treatment. I am trained as a cognitive behavioural therapist, schema therapist, and psychotherapist. This means I can provide help with specific complaints and when a more person-centered approach is needed.
People who come to a psychotherapist often have already undergone several treatment that have not led to sufficient improvement. They often get stuck in patterns that helped them survive earlier in their lives but now hinder or even harm them. Together with you, I want to explore how these patterns originated, their current influence, and how we can change them so you can move forward with your life.
Within the treatments I offer, the therapeutic relationship is important. This is the relationship we build, from which we can learn a lot, and which can be a source of new positive experiences. Conditions for this are equality, honesty, responsibility, and safety. Knowing that you are free to express yourself and that you are seen for who you are and what you are dealing with. My treatments will rarely follow a protocol but will rather be tailored to your individual situation and needs.
